FROZEN DANCE CAMP

(For Dancers Currently Ages 3 Through 5) Tues., June 19 – Fri., June 22, 2018 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.

Young dancers will develop a love for dance by using their imagination through creative movement. We will explore stories about their favorite princesses and bring the fairy tale to life. The little dancers will express themselves in ballet steps while developing musical skills. This nurturing camp will be filled with dance, music, creative activities and fun crafts. And, families will be able to view special dances at the end of the camp.

Nutcracker Ballet Camp

2nd Camp Just Added
Mon., June 18 – Fri., June 22, 2018 12:30 – 3:30 p.m  Children will study the classical holiday fantasy Nutcracker. They will design their own stage, learn crafts, and dance to Tchaikovsky’s brilliant score. Our 14th annual Dance Center Summer Camp will focus on choreography, staging, costumes, make-up, and many more exciting and creative surprises for a total immersion into the world of the performing arts. This special week of dance will end with a mini-performance for family & friends.  Don’t miss it!

Intermediate Youth Ballet Intensive Camp

Mon., June 25 – Fri., June 29, 2018 9:30 a.m. – Noon

The intermediate ballet intensive is designed to be both challenging and motivating for the serious dancer. Clean technique is our focus. We will learn a dance from the famous ballet, Swan Lake. Those dancers already on pointe and those at the pre-pointe level will develop and improve their strength and technique. This intensive is for those who want to advance and improve their ballet skills and education.

Intermediate Youth Tap & Jazz Intensive Camp

Mon., July 9 – Fri., July 13, 2018 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.

The first half of this advanced, multifaceted dance intensive is designed to be both challenging & motivating for the serious dancer. Clean technique is our focus. This intensive is for those who want to advance and improve their jazz & tap dance skills. We will focus on incorporating history and aspects of performing. Dancers will work with the tap concepts of rhythm and time and learn about famous jazz dancers & styles. The intensive will end with a performance that the dancers will showcase for family and friends.

Advanced Ballet Intensive Camp For The Serious Student

(For Dancers Who Have Completed Ballet 1, 2 & 3)

Mon., June 25 – Fri. June 29, 2018 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

This week-long educational opportunity is for committed dancers to study ballet and pointe to an advanced level. –– $175 –– Dancers will focus on the original choreography of famous classical ballets as well as study some of the greatest dancers of the 20th century Advanced Tap & Jazz Intensive Camp For The Serious Student. Mon., July 16 – Fri., July 20, 2018 Tap: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Jazz: 12:45 – 2:15 p.m. Each jazz class will focus on a different style, as wellas technical improvement & “tricks” of the trade, such as advanced leaps and turns. Dancers will learn to pick up movement phrases quickly, take feedback and incorporate it into performance, and continue developing an individual voice as a dancer.  Tap classes include both historic & current choreography, and dancers will be presented with 

multiple variations of a step or combination so they can progress and challenge themselves in a manner appropriate to their skill level. Dancers will receive individualized feedback, and classes will view and discuss archival dance works.
